You Need Answers Today, Not Tomorrow

Time is the one thing we don't have. These scenarios play out every week.

The Same-Day Request

"Can we do this?" lands at 9am. Client meeting at 4pm. You need a feasibility answer in hours, not days.

The Pitch That Grew

Pitch was meant to be one route. Now it's four. Each needs budget reality-checking before the client sees them.

The Hand-Me-Down

A project passed on from another team. Already "budgeted" - but every production company quote comes back over.

The Internal Reality Check

Before production companies even see the script. Before the client commits. Just: is this achievable or not?

3

Reality Check

GREEN / AMBER / RED verdict with budget bands and recommended shoot days

Schedule Simulation

AD-style time calculations. Realistic shoot days based on setups, locations and complexity, not a ballpark, a proper breakdown.

Budget Bands

UK and EU production modes. Lean, standard and ambitious scenarios, conservative by design to protect your margin.

Risk Flags

Automated detection of high-cost elements: MOCO, drone, high-speed, child talent, VFX, weather dependence, overtime exposure.

Internal Confidence

Walk into client meetings knowing your script is achievable. Set realistic expectations early. Then let production companies do their thing.

GREEN

Brief is producible within budget

AMBER

Achievable with scope or budget adjustment

RED

Budget and brief are misaligned

Not Just Red Lights

When the script doesn't fit the budget, go back to creatives with specific alternatives, not just "it's too expensive."

Location Consolidation-£15–30K
"We have 4 different locations..."
Combine through clever art direction. One versatile space, multiple setups.
Example: House + garden + street → single location with redress
MOCO → VFX-£8–15K
"We need motion control..."
Shoot locked-off, add camera movement in post. Modern tracking makes this invisible.
Example: Product spin → static plates + 3D camera solve
Night → Day-£10–20K
"We want moody night exterior..."
Shoot day-for-night or golden hour. Much faster, no massive lighting rig.
Example: Night city → dusk shoot + grade
Talent Optimisation-£5–12K
"Script needs 8 cast members..."
Hero + featured + background hierarchy. Same impact, fewer usage fees.
Example: 8 principals → 2 heroes + 4 featured + 2 background
UK → EU Service-£30–60K
"Budget is tight for UK..."
Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic. Same quality, lower day rates, fresh locations.
Example: London warehouse → Prague studio + travel
Practical vs VFXVARIES
"We need rain / snow / fire..."
Compare practical FX vs post. Sometimes real is cheaper, sometimes CG wins.
Example: Rain tower + cleanup → dry shoot + particle FX

The Approach

ScriptOracle doesn't just flag problems - it offers pathways. For every RED verdict, you get specific alternative approaches with estimated savings. Walk into the creative review with solutions, not just obstacles.

Before vs After

The Old Way

  • Creative writes script
  • Account team guesses budget
  • Client commits to agency
  • Production reality emerges late
  • Rescope, renegotiate, or absorb cost
  • Relationship damage

With ScriptOracle

  • Creative writes script
  • Instant internal feasibility check
  • Enter client meeting informed
  • Set realistic expectations early
  • Production companies bid on achievable briefs
  • Deliver on budget, protect margin

ScriptOracle doesn't replace the production company bidding process - production companies still quote, negotiate and deliver exactly as they do today. It's used earlier, internally by the agency, to sanity-check a script's realism before it's ever sent out for those bids.

Built on Real Experience

This isn't theoretical. ScriptOracle encodes hands-on UK and EU advertising production expertise.

Industry Knowledge

Built by a working producer who understands the gap between creative vision and production reality.

AD-Style Rules

Schedule simulation based on real shoot day mechanics: setups, resets, company moves, turnover time.

Conservative Bias

Designed to protect agency margins. Better to be pleasantly surprised than embarrassed by overruns.

Agency-Safe

Internal tool only. Not a replacement for production company relationships — just better preparation going in.

Your scripts stay yours

🔒

Redaction, encryption, and short retention - not just one promise

Before your script is sent to our AI provider, ScriptOracle runs it through an automated redaction layer that identifies brand names, agency names, production company names, and personal names, and replaces them with neutral placeholders. Your results are restored with the real names once the assessment completes. This significantly reduces what identifying information ever reaches the AI - as with any automated redaction, treat it as a strong safeguard rather than a substitute for keeping genuinely sensitive material out of what you upload.

Script content is encrypted before it's stored, and isn't retained beyond 30 minutes - after that, revisiting a past analysis means re-running it. The database itself requires authenticated access; there's no public version of this data.

Content sent to our AI provider is contractually treated as confidential - they cannot use it to train their models, disclose it, or claim ownership of it - and under their standard policy, prompts and outputs sent through their API are not retained by default.

Common Questions

What data sources are the estimates based on?

The engine combines two layers: published UK/EU production industry standards (day rates, overtime rules, working-time regulations for minors), and a calibrated benchmark set of production patterns - shoot days, budget ranges, complexity factors - informed by commercial production experience. No client names, brand identities, or confidential creative details are part of that calibration data; everything is reduced to sector and scope-level detail before it's used.

How is my script protected?

Scripts are passed through an automated redaction layer that identifies and strips brand names, agency names, production company names, and personal names before any text is sent to our AI provider - the AI itself never sees the raw, unredacted version. Content sent to our AI provider is contractually treated as confidential - they cannot use it to train their models, disclose it, or claim ownership of it - and under their standard policy, prompts and outputs sent through their API are not retained by default. Script content is encrypted before it's stored and is not retained beyond 30 minutes. The database requires authenticated access - there is no public version of this data.

Can I delete my script, or does it stick around?

Both. You can delete a script from your account at any time, and even if you don't, content automatically stops being retained 30 minutes after upload - revisiting an analysis after that means re-running it.

How are cost and rate benchmarks kept up to date?

They're reviewed and refreshed periodically against current industry standards, rather than on a fixed automatic schedule. If a specific rate change is relevant to your usage, get in touch and we'll factor it in.
